Lake Bomoseen in VT is a very good bass lake. We vacationed up there awhile ago. Holds big bass and I had by far my best day of fishing ever on that lake.

bomoseen is a good one, but there are quite a few powerboats on it, kind of gets that lake hopatcong vibe, dunno if that's what you are into or if you are looking for a quieter time
you might also check out VT's chittenden reservoir. it is a fantastic walleye fishery as well as being packed up with perch and bass. there are some houses on it, but it is a lot quieter than bomoseen. it's great for kayaks.

If you do choose Bomoseen, there's a huge hill covered in slate that leads all the way down into the water. Between my dad, brother, and I we had about 60 bass in about 4 hours, all within the distance of the slate pile. We just dropped Texas rigged power worms, let them hit the bottom, felt the tap tap and set the hook. One after another it was stupid haha. We did go back another time and didn't catch anything there, however. Definitely worth a try though
