![]() Seabras in newark or Harrison sells them by the lb and they are usually cheap.....half the price of what they sell them for at the bait stores. Of course that was last spring so I would call first

![]() Last year, before we sold our boat, I would stop at Victor's Fish Market on my
way down. They're on Adams Street in Newark. I remember $4.99 /lb and maybe 8 or more per lb. We'd ask for 10 bucks worth and my brother & I would get plenty. Surely the prices have gone up in a year, like everything else. They don't open till 0700 though, so I used to schedule my trips accordingly. We kept a homemade eel pen at the boat for any survivors. Have only fished for stripers twice this year on a friend's boat, and shopped a local B & T shop. We paid $ 2.25 an eel. Tight lines all. |
