Here is a picture of my swing out arm on my older Hobie. I have a bracket that fits in the front hole of the hobie and this is the arm. I also have a different bracket on the kayak I use in the river, but I use the same swing out arm, made from 1/2 inch conduit. The camera screws on the top of the arm, I hit the self timer and swing the arm out.
I was just holding the video camera on a 2 foot pole for the shark videos. I don't bring the arm to Myrtle Beach in fear I would do something stupid, like trying to hold a shark for a picture. LOL ![]() Danny V |
