 ! I have had boats break down and once found that the guy went out of business before booking the charter but nothing even close to that strange. Sorry to hear that , hope you guys crush em the next time you go up there.

Andy - His website is still up with the same contact info. No indication that he left the business behind. He just picked up and left in a hurry.
Duffman - I think you have the right idea. I think he ran afoul of someone or some group and didn't move to SC so much as flee there. I don't think his intent was to make off with his clients' money; that's a long way to go for what is likely only a handful of $100 deposit checks. acabtp - I honestly didn't think to file a police report; I was just too shocked to think straight, I guess. Plus, for $100, is it really worth the headache? But the way I figure it, once whoever is after Roger catches up with him, he will likely receive punishment enough.

Wow, something must have scared the bejesus out of him, to up and leave...he left the boat in the driveway., you know if my ass is getting run out of town, the boat is coming with ...

Was the boat on a trailer? Hmm new bass boat as collateral.... thats down-right F*up.. Not sure had I drove 5+ hours from NJ to fish for a weekend to find what you did when you got there, that I would have had enough composure not to lose my sh*t on this guys place...
