Very cool!
I've found that all the largemouth Ive caught in the Passaic have looked exactly like the one you posted: not big in length, but a nice chubby girth. What time of day did you land the pike?

Bunker Dunker.....thanks man. I've used Rapalas and stickbaits there a couple times and have had success, but I've also lost a ton of lures because the spot has lots of snags and a lot of times you have to cast under/around trees to get it in the right spot. After losing $70 worth of Rapala Flat Raps and Storm Thundersticks last time, I said F$#$ that and brought the cheap swim shads. The big single hook doesn't get caught up as much, and even the pike that brought me into the brush pile came out.
Skunk City, I fished from 5pm to 6:30pm, but I think FastEddie fishes the same spot and I've seen him post that he catches them in the middle of the day. |
