Christine what a nice fish and great job of showing how to do it. There has to be a lot of fishing people saying "What am I doing wrong" The answer is nothing. Just go and fish and have good time and enjoy this extra fishing time we got under the RSA rules. That's a nice fish, and congrats for throwing it back to live another day. I'd rather eat the smaller fluke, 5lbs and below. I've often wondered why the boats don't use an onboard scale to weigh fish and put the weights on a whiteboard for all to see (and even let the patrons know that a big fish is being weighed for all to see) in case someone that's in a pool can let a fish go and not worry about not winning the pool.

Her mother threw one back that was well over 10 pounds with in a 1/2 mile of this fish. The thrill is in catching and knowing the fish lives to fight another day. We could have kept it and I netted it as I did for her mother. Proud Dad
