Sailed out of Keyport, started back in the Triangle. Low tide and no breeze didn't make for a good drift, but we managed a decent pick of shorts. After we got too hot, we ran across to Keansburg, where we had nonstop action on the flats. Trouble was they were all 12" fish. I never saw so many little ones, which probably bodes well for next year and after.
The Wonder Rig did the work for us, all fish coming on that naked killie. 13 year old Brayden was high hook with 24+ fish, and our biggest of the day at 17.5".
We didn't get dinner, but his smile says it all!
that's why I sold my boat last week fluke fishing in the bay is a joke terrible the water for weeks was rust colored and nasty perth amboy is pumping sewer waste into the bay
