Skunk, I don't know what's worse...lack of herring spawning or finding them doing the dance all around you with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on them! 4:30 am to about a half hour after sunrise (different lake though).

That's a really good picture. You can see the slime oozing off the fish and dripping down into the water.
