River Rocket and night bite swan song

Hit the river for magic hour saturday tossing topwaters. Managed 1 shmedium pike before getting hammered by this snotty guy, only my second pr pickerel. Was a little tired but revived him for a good 10 minutes before he was ready to kick off. Fish busting around me the entire time but that's fishing :p, glad it swam away.
Drove up to skunksville for a last attempt at the herring spawn. Barely any spawning, zero blowups and zero eyes. Managed a Largemouth and big gill, as well as a snagged herring. Might try cong one more time but I think the night bite is toast! On to different bites and techniques, always fish to be found! http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psa5s21rkg.jpg

Grab a can of corn and try for carp? They seem to be everywhere I go.

Skunk, I don't know what's worse...lack of herring spawning or finding them doing the dance all around you with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on them! 4:30 am to about a half hour after sunrise (different lake though).

That's a really good picture. You can see the slime oozing off the fish and dripping down into the water.
