Congrats on finally bagging one. Sucks about losing the rod/fish, expensive lesson, but these are no Panfish you are targeting. They are pretty much the Porsche 911 Turbo of NJ freshwater fishing. Appropriate tackle and a finely tuned drag are a must. The first one is always the hardest, so catch em up
