Going to try smoking a striper for the first time tonight.

Hopefully I don't get addicted!

Trying out a basic brine on the first site I saw online. LOL

:

1qt water
1/2 cup non-iodized salt
1/2 cup sugar

Let sit for 6 hrs, going to try a mesquite flavored woodchip over a light heat from a charcoal grill. Here goes nothing. Wish me luck.
