Default More landlocked salmon

More landlocked salmon, ranging from 10.8 to 15 inches in length, were recently stocked in two northern NJ state park lakes by the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife. Tilcon Lake (Allamuchy Mt. State Park) received 198 salmon and Lake Aeroflex (Kittatinny Valley State Park) received 227 salmon. Another 574 salmon in this size range are slated for Wawayanda Lake (Wawayanda State Park) in late September/early October.

For more information on the stockings and salmon fishing in New Jersey, visit http://www.njfishandwildlife.com/new...tilconaero.htm on the Division's website.

Been wondering if anyone has had any luck fishing for the salmon this year..Could understand being tite lipped if successful, they are a real sporty fish.. Not easy to find or to catch for that matter..Seems almost a shame to stock these babies, especially if they aren't going to take hold..I know NY state having tough time getting them to go in their Adarondak Lakes..

It would be nice if they would stock them in some the cold water streams !
I'm sure a couple of streams could possibly hold them! Very tough fighting fish , exciting in a srream!
Fly fished for them many times in Me & NB !!

ART: Without giving away any of your tactics, Would u classify being good to u by the numbers you are catching or the quality of the fish ur catching..Would u classify the fish as freshly stocked or holdover fish..Waywayanda used to be my favorite Jersey lake of all time back 50 years ago .Still ranks as one of Jersey's prettier bodies of water..Least in my mind..
