I love my SXJ although some folks have a love/hate relationship with Avets.

LEXA 300 with power handle is a dream to fluke with. I have even been using mine for stripers. Its a nice little WINCH that fits in the palm of your hand

Re: Daiwa Lexa 300 or Avet SXJ ???
Love my Lexa 300 HSP-L
Just started using it this season and it's my 'go to' reel for everything. It's the perfect reel for bucktailing fluke in ocean or bay. Pair it with a light graphite rod and your whole setup will weigh < a pound, no problem bucktailing all day. I know someone who Togs with it, but there are probably better choices for that I love my Lefty version even though I'm right-handed. I can cast effortlessly and immediately start jigging without have to switch my rod to my other hand. It's got levelwind, a power handle, 22 lbs of drag, cast-control, & weighs only 11 ounces. Bring it !!

I use lexa 100p for fluking. Nice little reel. 300 also seemed pretty nice.

Yep HSP-L (hyper speed, power handle, lefty) the pic above is how it comes out of box. The Lexa 100 is paddle handle only, but the 300 model has either paddle or power.

Re: Daiwa Lexa 300 or Avet SXJ ???
I picked up SXJ earlier this year but have not fished it yet as that will be used for blackfishing. I little on the heavy side for bucktailing fluke in my opinion. Diawa Lexa is a great choice. They came out with lower gear ratio model but it does not come with power handle at this time. Once power handle becomes an option on lower gear ratio model it will be added to my arsenal as I am not a big fan of higher gear ratio reels for bottom fishing and prefer the power handle over the paddle
