Unique preserved shrimp bait... pretty interesting

Last week we had a guest on that patented a unique way to preserve soft cut baits like shrimp where the final product is also super durable... pretty interesting.

Wondering how they'll work as tipping for fluke and flounder or for tog and other bottom fish. So far we've only tested it on freshwater catfish.

4lb box of salt is $3 at BJs and will preserve 100s of shrimp, does the same thing

Bought it using the nj multispecies discount and got 2 jars for the price of one. Gonna try it out fresh water first.

It worked for multiple catfish, perch, and one hybrid so far in the short time weve tried it.... i want to use it for tog this fall

Ive never been able to get the durability in preserving my own bait that he gets in these. He also has a patent on the process so i doubt hes just packing them in salt haha

they give out patents to anything not on file that you are willing to pay for, so having a patent doesn't mean anything. All having a patent does is allows you to market that it's a patented process, tricking people into thinking it's novel and proprietary.
Why wait till fall to test on tog? You can test right now by targeting sheepshead. I'm sure if they work on tog, you'll have some bi-catch to report on and let us know. Personally, spending $17 plus shipping on 1 can of preserved anything that will last 1 or 2 fishing trips doesn't seem like that great of a deal.

By the way, live bait means it “alive”. Natural bait is the term you’re looking for. Preserved live bait that is no longer alive is not live bait, lol.

Look, its not my producr and i have no skin in the game, but they guy seemed cool to me and instantly rook our suggestion on doing this for chicken liver and tested it and is sending us some to try (more of a freshwater thing).

I beleive its about $1 per shrimp plus shipping from the way he described it. I pay about $1 per keitech bait and they are shredded after one fish. Gulp, im paying about $1 per bait give or take depending on the size and the tail gets bitten off by a searobin half the time haha.

Im just passing on the information, im not selling the stuff, but the sample he gave us are quite durable. Multiple fish per piece. He also shared with all of us here in NJ 25% off total orders if you did want to try it for cheaper.

Ive never caught a sheepshead. Ive tried 2-3 times with no luck but i would give it a go next chance i get.
