Default Dunnfield

Has anyone heard of fish being caught out of dunnfield creek recently? Thinking of doing a trip to there on Friday and was wondering if I’d be wasting my time

I never fished it but know its gets pressured. Anglers new to trout fishing go there and still catch a brookie or brown or two. No doubt you'll find them though. Hike far and stay stealthy. You could just try some other creeks a bit more south too.

I've never fished it and at this rate never will. The parking lot is an absolute zoo every time I drive by to go to the Poconos. Think the mall at Christmas type zoo. Time of day seems to be no matter either cause I've seen it crazy early in the morning when I'm headed fishing and seen it crazy in the later afternoon when I'm heading over to get wine.

That place gets loved to death.

You could fish in the middle of Manhattan and it wouldn't be that much more crowded than Dunnfield.

You sound like your on a mission for something. Try the smaller waters near the North Branch and Lamington. No need to drive all the way to Dunnfield. There are wild Trout streams much closer to home and some of the best ones are not listed.

For the Water Gap creeks, ive only been to hornbecks and didnt do any good there. But i hear most of them should be good. Like Eddie said, a lot of lowkey tribs just closer by.
