Default Where to go boys

Hey there gentlemen. Long time no post. After 3 years of posting here looking for help repairing the hole in my fiberglass jon boat, I manned up, took a crack at it and did it myself. Expecting my second little one in July so this may be the one of two trips tops I get out on it for a longg time. Being in Matawan, my usual trips have been Lefferts, Assunpink, Farrington (and the surrounding lakes) and the occasional trips up to Spruce Run. Looking for a vote that I'll take as a sign on where I should go Saturday. Jon boat is small and only pushing a Endura 30 so nothing crazy. Have at it lunatics. Feel free to shout recommendations here or message. Tight lines as we skip spring once again into summer.

Going by your location and size of boat, I would say any of the lakes in the Assunpink WMA are a good choice.

How heavy is it ?? Do you have 2 people ?? MDW every place is going to be packed if the weather holds. If you could carry it down the steep banks of Split Rock Res I would do that, Aeroflex would be good also, seems like you want to take the LONG drive regardless.

Its not that heavy but depending on how steep I'm sure getting up out will be harder than getting in. I am by myself so launch would be preferably easier to just slide in. Not opposed to a long driveso thanks for the suggestions. I know most places are gonna be busy

Since you do not mind driving, little swartswood is perfect for your boat.

Haha quite a hike at 81 miles. I'll throw it in the hat though. Any reasoning behind the perfect marriage between the 2?

Truth!

The bigger the lake, the bigger the shitshow this weekend.

i second andy's vote to hit the rock the smallmouth and the crappies are fun in the front half and if you like slime darts and largemouths the back half behind the big island can be interesting and you can always find decent perch as well, but you have to get there early the parking lot fills up quick especially on a holiday weekend.. oh yea bring two batterys the wind can be unforgiving and you do not want to paddle or row against the wind there.
