Default How to store snelled hooks

If you'd like to store some snelled hooks without getting them tangled up or hooking things, buy a foam pool noodle from the discount store (do it now before they replace the summer stuff with snow shovels). Cut up the pool noodle and you can put your snells on it (use the longer dimension of the noodle) so that they don't tangle up with each other. If you want, you can even use zip-ties to tie it to the rail along the cabin of a PB if you don't use pre-tied rigs like I do. Best of luck to everyone and give this a try for storing the snells so that they don't tangle.

Ryan

P.S. I think I got this tip from someone on here, but I forget who. If you were the one who gave it to me, please post here so that we all know that it was you. I don't want to take credit for someone else's idea.

Nice post Ryan W with no disclaimer couldn't help myself. I use a pipe insulator for my black fish rigs, put it on the rail behind me.

Guess I will have to post the way I do it.

It was a good joke, I'll give it that . I did put something in there toward the end that might be considered a disclaimer, so I'm not weaned off of it yet hahaha. I've got pretty thick skin- you have to to fish the bow of da dirty.

Can you post a picture of what you do? I'm not quite sure what a pipe insulator is, but it sounds like a good idea. I'd be more than willing to give it a shot.

Best Joke of the last week:

R: Harry, go take a look at what Mah-ty's got in his cooler in the back. He really got into them on the last stop.
H: BullSh!t! The only thing he can catch in august is a cold- that's why he's got his sweatshirt on.
R: No, go take a look .
H: (comes back). He had his whole cooler filled with the catch from the whole stern!
R: I know. He put me up to it. Next time, we'll get him a milk crate so he can fish with us up in the bow and be able to see over the rail.

Thanks for the tip! I'll take a look next time I'm up that way in one of those stores.
