Default Raritan river 4/16

started off throwing out a rapala in the freakishly low water in hopes for a smallie/largy or walleye but to my suprise hooked a 9+lb carp, not even snagged, he actually striked it . tons of other carp were tailing behind it when reeling it in. released it saftely and continued with no more action. went to the canal side and caught at least a 2 ft eel on worms, and a small bass on a senko. it was hot but nice and the freshwater bite for me continues....

Funny report man, I actually landed a 9lb carp tonight that hit a big neon green crankbait on the Passaic. The lure was meant for pike, and had a 20lb flouro leader attached to it. Nice fish, fought like a beast!

Great! Off to a slow start up there with the stripers so far for me.
