Default New to trout fishing

Hey guys I am a seasoned vet when it comes to saltwater but I have no clue about trout fishing or freshwater for that matter.

I remember as a kid using meal worms for bait. Unfortunately, I dont have a local bait shop here in union county.

I am looking to take my 5 YO trout fishing and was wondering if anyone could possibly give me some ideas on bait and rigging for these things as well as if there are any good lakes/ponds in the union county area. No looking to burn spots just an Idea.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Get meal worms at the pet store. Most carry mealworms and superworms, some also have butterworms and waxies. Even better, they will be cheaper than at a bait & tackle shop.

Worms and a split shot. Best to do a little driving around or check the State website for areas to fish.
