pollution : - (
EPA reports indicate that the quality of water in New Jersey is continuing to worsen.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has approved the 2010 Integrated Water Quality Report list of 2,112 waters in New Jersey that have been found either impaired or threatened by pollutants. According to the EPA, an impaired body of water does not meet federal water quality standards even after implementation of pollution controls. http://newjersey.sierraclub.org/PressReleases/0283.asp http://www.state.nj.us/dep/wms/bfbm/...11datasum.html Last edited by tycomps; 03-05-2013 at 07:43 AM.. |

Re: pollution : - (
bullcrap.. Sierra Club is a bunch of radical lefist/socialists...
If Christie were a left wing Democrat Obama psycophant, he would be seen as environmentally friendly by the SC.. Christiie is FAR from conservative, but to the radicals at the SC, he might as well be George Wallace.. NJ fresh waters are teeming with life.. A lot more life, and much more diverse than many of the lakes and waterways we have here in NY state... We have supposedly very clean water here in the Finger Lakes, yet they are all considered "at risk" by left wing environmental groups.. NJ fresh waters have come a VERY long way since I was a kid, and there were NO fish in the Passaic River except a few carp and eels... Please take anything the SC writes with a grain of salt.. They are much less an environmental watch group these days than they are a radical leftists political action commitee... bob Last edited by bulletbob; 03-05-2013 at 12:07 PM.. |
