Some times when you know you won..... and give it back ..

I used to fish because I enjoyed catching fish and bringing dinner home to help with finances. Made me feel great.

Sadly, fishing is no longer an inexpensive and profitable venture. It is very expensive. Additionally, the global police are always attacking us with flashing lights like we are criminals.

I fish A LOT LESS because its far too expensive now and I don't want to be looked at as a criminal while real criminals are getting pensions to sell us out.

I loved fishing so much and it is now a source of high discomfort for me. It is has been almost out of my life. There are more important things now....like fighting to stay free in this new Communist government of ours? (is this government really ours...not right now it isn't). Horrible. Really horrible....We are the new China/Russia/Venezuela. I have many Chinese friends that love our old America more than our "citizens" do.

Exactly the same reasons as gerry z. Also now taking my grandson along with my daughter so he can experience really catching a'fish and not just on a video game

Yep... I truly believe video games and social media at a young age give kids a false sense of reality and dulls their interpersonal social skills. Kind of sad that some kids can't look you in the eye, are uncomfortable with a handshake or a conversation.

I've been fishing since I was a kid. My Grandfather got me into fishing in the good ole days when there where tons of fish to catch especially out in eastern long island where he kept his boat. I do like to eat fresh fish but I really don't need a lot. I just like to catch. But to me it's about being out on the water and nature and of coarse good friends and family. And let's not forget trying to catch the big one which I would release 95% of the time. It's something to look forward too and also an adventure! You can say I'm hooked on fishing! Tight Lines!

I fish 🎣 in order to get a tax deduction for tagging fish. I tagged > 8,300 fish 🐟 in NJ, and 253 were recaptured in 11 different states from NH to NC. I also fish in order to win awards. I won 18 NJ Skillful Angler Recognition Awards last year. I won the pool on NJ fluke boats 26 times in 1969.
