Thumbs up NJF meet and greet 4/7/12 wrap up:

Good to see everyone today, and put some faces with names.

Myself, Wilson, Lard, Lard's dad, acabtp, Moz, Shucker, FASTEDDIE, Outofline and his gal showed up. Bronzeback was floating around making a cameo.

I think most got a few, I got a real nice hold over rainbow at the falls that no one saw and I didn't have my camera a good 5 lbs. and 24" long. I didn't think I was gonna get him in on 4 lb. test, after I hooked him he came shooting out of the water, great, long fight, I let that one go.

Some of us went onto Nevieus, you could see the trout from the bridge.

Lard and his dad went to Roberts St and are doing good there.

Thanx for coming out, water was low and crystal clear.

Only caught 2 at Dukes. Both fish were about 17" and feisty.
Shucker and Fast Eddie caught some as well.
FE and I went to one of his secret spots and mohawked them for about 2 hours. All those fish were standard issue Brooks.

Great weather for once on opening day.

Nice meeting Moz and Tom and Bronze Back

Thanks to Andy for the dognuts and coffee.

It was great meeting everyone as well, would have been great if one of the stockies made introductions with me yesterday too!

I made it out there again this afternoon after getting back from NYC. Went 0 for 1 on the trout but on my second cast I landed a new PB with a smallie in the 4 LBS neighborhood. Took me for ever to get him in on my ultralite, glad I brought my net!

Have to find and hit the falls there at some point.

We found a hole where the fish were stacked up and flashing like crazy. My dad got 2, I got about a dozen. A small suspending rapala ripped through the hole was the key. All cookie-cutter brookies.

I tried Duke Island from the dam down to the rapids this morning, nothing doing. I could only fish about an hour and a half because I had an Easter party to get to. Only two other people fishing.

Video is on its way!

Great to see everyone Saturday morning, hope we can get together again this season!

Well the few fish that I saw caught were all nice sizes 2 lb and up fish including my 2.
I guess there could of been a little more catching action.
The crowds were thin, if we (M+G guys) weren't there it would of been empty.

Must say that me and Fasteddie hit a small river in the Summit area after Dukes and killed them. Those fish were 10 -12" Brookies and stacked up like cord wood.

All in all a good long day.

Looks like you guys had a great day, awesome network of people on this site... Wilson that fish looked like a monster at first then I went back to look again, and I remembered how long your arms were...

Glad you guys got a chance to get out and pound some sweet water...
