During the weekend summers the CO's in NW Jersey play parking attendants at SplitRock. 3 guys waste their time directing traffic because people ignore signs. smh

During the 2018 ice season i was checked 3 times by CO's. They were friendly and explained that the prosecution of the wildlife crimes is generally viewed as a waste of time by prosecutors. Most offenders get off with a reduction in fines and no incentive to not do it again. The fines haven't been changed in decades.

We definitely need more CO's out there especially with all the new interest in fishing because people have nothing to do and an increase of the fines

I've had very few experiences with them. Only once can I remember my license being checked, a few years back on opening day of trout season. Other times I've seen their trucks but never saw the GW.

Definitely called them plenty of times though!

Again, I have no problem at all with fish & game regarding freshwater fishing. Myself, I have seen no benefit with them being involved in the saltwater. I know at one time NJ had the most intensive and successful stocking program in the nation. All funded by license sales. However our state could not live with that and moved all those funds into the general treasury. That's when thing went down hill. Again, I salute them in the freshwater and curse them in the saltwater. Just my 2 cents.
