I am looking to purchase a new casting rod. I want to match it with my diawa tierra 153. looking for a 7' MHF. I welcome suggestions, and thank you in advance.

I agree 100%. Kevin Bogan Poison Rods is the way to go. They made me a kick ass Cod rod about two months ago. I was there this morning placing an order for a Blackfish/Striper rod. For what your going to spend on a regular rod you could get one made from Kevin and Brian. You will not be disappointed.

All depends on what you want to spend$$$.

For the money, I have a Shimano Compre 7MHF that is pretty solid and goes for $109. For a few bucks more, you can score yourself a St. Croix Premier which may be my favorite piece of graphite out there, especially for the price. If you got it like that, you can always go Loomis. Kistler makes a great casting rod too.
