Went to a winter stocked lake in Sussex County ( Silver Lake) still too much Ice to fish. Headed to the Wallkill and drifted some worms. 2 suckers and a chub in about an hour. Sitched off to a Panther Martin and got a nice fat 14" Brown. That was all for my efforts. Water was high but clear.

Seems like all the larger lakes up north are still mostly ice covered. The smaller ponds should be ice free by now and soon the bass up there will be waking up.
