Cormorants are out in force!
I took a ride today to some of my favorite trout spots and at almost everyone of them the cormorants where out in force and eating. The water was very clear so getting a meal at the buffet must have been a piece of cake for them. I guess nothing can be done about it but it does bother me. I feel there is only one solution but that will never fly (no pun) in NJ. Good luck on Saturday. I'm sure there are plenty left!

Re: Cormorants are out in force!
We actually are feeding them, they are just doing what they do, eating fish.

Re: Cormorants are out in force!
Exactly what I was thinking! They seem to be in rivers and ponds and not so much in creeks or fast moving water!

Re: Cormorants are out in force!
There is no arguing that they are not an invasive species. If they were an invasive species of vegetation, they would be exterminated. If they showed up on my grandfather’s farm pond, they would meet the same demise as the invasive plants.
