Re: Sea Run Brown Trout Program Information
I'm just asking for a split between the Manasquan and the Raritan. 15,000 trout in one river is an awful lot of fish. Maybe spread them out, I don't get the all my eggs in one basket method. Every year I ask how many returns, and I think in the last 3 years there have been zero returns. This program was ONLY supposed to continue based on angler returns.

Re: Sea Run Brown Trout Program Information
I wonder if the surplus browns being stocked now are from the same batch of egss from the "1958 eggs were obtained from a "sea trout" strain from Denmark and Scotland"
I remember before the Connetquot shut down, there were some anglers who were going to try to get a load of searuns from there and stock them into the Toms, the feeling was that the Toms had similar characteristics (or more similar?) to the southern LI stream(s). Unfortunately, whatever searun trout were there, are no more. Or at least not available for stocking.
