Default Treble Hook Replace

I want to replace the treble hooks on my plugs with regular single hooks. What size would you recommend? Typical plugs used for surf.

Thanks

Size will vary by the original size of the treble but generally 5/0 to 7/0. Here's a good video for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwJiArRTG5k

If you fish the Sandy Hook area stop by and see Pete at Atlantic Bait and tackle. He switched a few over for me last spring.

I get real scientific with my hook swaps. I take off the stock split rings and hooks and weigh them on a digital scale. I try to get replacement inline singles and new stronger split rings to match the stock hook weight as closely as possible.

The goal is to not alter the plug action as best as possible and staying within its designed wheelhouse.
