Default Back on the boat and on the big pond

Hit a rock on the big D back in November and have been passing the winter on the SB and musky hitting smallies and trout. Finally got it back this Monday and have been wanting to start focusing on walleyes on the big pond, as well as Muskies of course. Went out for the first trip the other night and struck pat dirt twice and dropped two other fish. Post frontal, cold and windy but they were active. Found some warmer water and they were up super shallow. Super excited And looking forward to learning this fishery this year and hopefully give some good reports. Hope everyone enjoys a safe and successful fishing year. Be careful out there!! Saw a capsized drift boat yesterday going out for smallies on the Delaware. Guys had it hooked and dragged it out eventually. Also, here’s two river skis from last year. A nicer fish and a pretty fish.

Thumbs up Re: Back on the boat and on the big pond

I was wondering why I didn’t see you out there in the late fall early winter. Great to see you back out on the water catching beauties! Great fish man! Watch out for that night bite. It sure is addictive!

Nice ‘eyes and the muskies look great….

Where do you launch from, ie what stretches do you like….

Looking to do a trip as well, just got my boat ready for the season.

Really only launched from the Belvedere ramp, that stretch of River is kind of fast, looking for a slower stretch.

Thanks

I have caught Muskie from Byram ramp all the way up to Milford, PA. Every ramp in between gives the opportunity to boat a nice Muskie, smallmouth or walleye (not to mention flatheads and stripers). I don’t know what type of rig you are running , either jet or prop, but you’d be surprised what you can find in that stretch of the Belvidere.
