Default White Lake

Has anyone ever fished White Lake and if so I noticed they have trailer parking.
How is it launching a boat?
Thanks

The trailer parking sign is probably for horse trailer

it's a carry to the water cartop only. no launch available that is for trailered boats.

I had the same question in 2019 and emailed whitelakeinfo@gmail.com...

Hello,
I found this email address on a website and was hoping you could help me or forward to someone that could answer my question. I have a 12 foot rowboat with electric trolling motor that I would like to use for fishing on the lake. I would be trailering the boat to the lake. I do not require a boat ramp, just a launch area like kayaks use.

Is there access to the launch area for a vehicle to launch and land a boat from a trailer? Also, is there legal parking for a vehicle with a small boat trailer?

Thank you so much for your time,
Fred

...I received the following response...

Hi Fred,

Thanks for your interest in White Lake!
Yes, we have a boat launch area available that you can use for your rowboat. We also have a dedicated area in our parking lot that’s especially for trailers.

Hope to see you soon,
Ted

...
I never did make it over there with the boat, but did fish from land once. 1 trout and a couple of follows.

Fred

Thank You for the very informative information. Yes there is an area in the parking lot that clearly states trailer parking, I knew previously it was cartop only and that is why I was interested in launching a boat.
I do realize that there is not an actual ramp but while looking at the area where I would launch it is doable.
Thanks to everyone who replied it was helpful.

See ya on the water

Bob

Well just to clarify, everyone was correct in some way. I just spoke with someone from White Lake Management and yes small trailers 10 ft max allowed in lot, and basically boat has to be put in not launched.

Oh well wanted to try to launch my Tracker guess not.

I’ve fished there a few times. It is insanely clear water for a NJ small lake; more like a pond. Really beautiful paddle but I didn’t see anything other than tiny baitfish along one side of the pond.

It’s spring fed from limestone bed rock. High PH. good for SCUBA.
