Default Raritan Bay boat ramps

Looking for help choosing a place to launch for the day on Saturday. Was looking at AH ramp as that has the least complaints, but looks like I’ll need to apply and make a reservation etc. Was also looking at keyport marine basin but have read reviews that it gets dicey depending on tides going under the bridge. Any help is appreciated, friends want to get in on the Raritan bite with their 23’ sportsman cc (with T-top) and coming up from south Jersey for the day. Thanks

Don't forget Leonardo. It is a steep ramp but workable. I have used it for my 25 ft when required. Plenty of parking for your trailer.

Never mind, I just called. Read something wrong, just $25 launch fee the day of, so probably going to end up there or Leonardo.

Just remember that you need a season pass at Great Kills, they don't do per day fee launching.. Also, last time I inquired, you had to go to the park in person to purchase the pass... This was last year, and things might have changed, ,, bob

Yea GK is seasonal and it part of US Parks.

There are a few seasonal up the Navesink River (Rumson & Fair Haven) and a few freebies way up the Shrewsbury River too.

The stripers seem down west end of RB in "Triangle" area.

Nearest non-seasonal ramps are Zubachs, Keyport, Sewaren, South Amboy and Sayreville ramps.

Hope that helps a bit? Leonardo and AHMM are a good ride East and around the corner of NWS Earle- about 8-9 miles open water.
