Thumbs up Paulinskill river 11/10/18:

Cleaned with various groups where Columbia lake was, now just a stream running through there, pretty cool.

Good job Andy thanks for sharing

The maximum fine needs another zero to the left of the decimal to deter people.

Did we get a tire count? Worst part was hiking it all up that hill

If I lived around the area, that mega-run where the dam used to be looks promising and i'd fish it!

Opened up the dam and uncovered the lake bottom, of course covered in tires.

Does anyone know if the dam removal project is finished? Are the engineers satisfied and will they remove anymore of the concrete structure or spillway? That debris stuck in the mouth of the spillway seems like it could cause a potential log jam.

Andy this is awesome. I need to meet up with you guys on one of your cleanups and do my part! I picked up and carried out 4 plastic water bottles Sunday but that is nothing compared to what you guys do!

The entire WMA is presently closed to the public due to ongoing work on and around the dam removal area. Once said and done the entire area should be opened to the public around the fall on 2019.

There remains a tremendous amount of work yet to be done. When completed the entire dam will be gone, the stream channel restored with structure, the newly exposed banks planted with indigenous species and the embankments at the Rt 80 overpass properly buttressed.
