Wink Bassfishing Manasquan Res.

Took my son out for a quick hour before dark to enjoy the beautiful weather and bass fish. We tied on a couple husky jerks and hit a couple quick spots that I like with some deep water close by. My son caught a nice 3 pound plus largemouth that was a real chunk and healthy looking. Released the fish and called it a night. Getting out with my son and spending quality time "priceless".

Congrats to your boy for that chunky bass. And congrats to you as well as for getting the little man out fishing spending quality time.

I was thinking of going to the reservoir, then I checked on their website and it says the reservoir is closed. Did you fish from the shore or a boat? Also what is the water level like now? Last time I was there it was pretty low. I was able to walk the entire shore line.

The water level is still down. On Monday the boat launch was open and a few boats were out. I normally fish from a boat, however Monday was a last minute trip to fish for an hour or so before dark so we fished from shore. You can still walk around a lot of the lake shoreline. Try fishing near deep water.
