Nice. I always catch bass in that area, and Yellow Perch.

NICE BUCKETMOUTH!!

I've been wondering if the growing pike population has had an effect on the bass in the Passaic. Seeing as I havnt caught a single largemouth out of it yet this year. Smallies still seem readily available.

I'm not complaining, still plenty of bass holes around, just wondering..........

Bro, Its always been this way in the passaic river. Largemouth Bass are really not river fish, they prefer slower water, where as the Smallmouths love fast water and current. Your best bet of finding Largemouth in the Passaic are looking for bends and inlets in which there is no current.

I'm just saying, compared to other years, this year, I've caught less than "usual". And more pike! Again, no complaints........

I hear ya but that is why I never noticed catching more or less Largemouth because Ive always had specific spots on the Passaic that I fish for largemouth where as I can mostly fish anywhere in the Passaic for smallies and Pike....
