Default echo lake question?

how is the musky fishing there? I head there are some real monsters in there. Also are they eating all the bass. Is there any nice size largemouth or smallies? i use to fish here many years ago. and since then drained it and made the new launch its been soo different. i remember one day i caught 25 bass. if anyone can shed some light on the fishing in echo?

Wink Re: echo lake question?

Went there once this year. Caught some nice size smallies, but not the quantity of Clinton.

Also had a bite off from a suspect musky. Caught one there a few years ago my first time there. Fishing from shore with light tackle. Followed a worm right up to the shoreline and nailed it. Wasn't a giant, but bigger than my biggest pike to date.

About 8 years ago I got a 5# largemouth and a stringer of large perch in the back channel, I'm sure it's still as good

Went last night for a few hours up till sunset. Water was really stained, I'm assuming from the storms the day before.

Threw spinnerbaits, cranks, shiners, and even a little topwater at sunset. Not much going on. Got a couple perch and a couple rock bass. One of which was pretty big. Pound, pound and a half.
