Thumbs up Hybrid grind 7/18/21!

Hit that Hybrid pond again for Sunday Funday! Conditions were ok in the morning and changed late morning with a nice breeze pushing me all over the place. Dropped the anchor and had fish right off the bat but smaller then last weeks monsters. Most fish were in the 3-5 lb. range with some LM and Channel Cats in the mix. Nothing huge but a nice mixed bag and solid action overall. Managed 7 Hybrids to 5 or so lbs. 3 Channel Cats to maybe 3 lbs. and a little LM ate one of the biggest baits I had out there. Overindulgent Green Carp. Lol! TIGHT LINEZ!!!

Awesome! Quick question... how do you hybrid fish at the big pond? Quick tutorial?? I have a 14ft alum boat and have dropped her in once there. Typical panfish n bassing at the docks fishing only. I'm a little scared of big open water. Kinda clueless more like it. I have fancy electronics and trolling motor. So just need some pointers. So....how would I go about catching my 1st hybrid? Depth? Troll? Live bait or artificials?
TY in advance.

Dude using the search tool on this site can be your best friend. Look up posts from my homie JimmytheGreek. He broke it down the best a bunch of years ago. Read his posts and threads and from there get on the water and give it a shot. Good luck man!!!
