Default Raritan River mixed bag

I read Andy's post about the stripers yesterday and decided to give it a shot. I went yesterday afternoon and I could not get the stripers to cooperate. I did get a very nice 25" walleye and a couple of little smallies though.

After getting some more intel from Andy I went back today. The stripers were in a better mood today and I got 5. These are small 10-12'" fish, but they are just beautiful. There were a couple of other anglers out there but I did not see them catch anything. The river is in good condition and it seems to be an underutilized resource. Get out there and give it a try.

Hey mcfish82, I will post EVERY spot and tell as MUCH INFO AS I CAN. What do I care. We need people fishing the Raritan to change the reputation and maybe get the State to do more stocking. I want EVERYONE to tell EVERYTHING, if this is not your cup of tea there are plenty of websites out there of people just holding up fish with the background blacked out.
I'm trying to get the State to stock sea run brown trout in the Raritan river.

Where is the "like" button.

What was their answer to about a Raritan sea run program? What could taking a couple year break from the Squan hurt?

As far as the sea run goes I would probably donate 500-750 for an attempt like that... That's history book stuff that hasn't been written yet!
