Why is it that I see many people not wearing masks in all types of activities at the Jersey shore many not social distancing? Does the salt air stop the virus.

I am as conservative as they come. With that said I wish I saw more voluntary distancing and mask wearing. It can’t hurt and may help.

Not a hoax, but very few respiratory virus are just floating in the breeze in the sunshine on a summer day waiting to "get you".

This is more of a disease thats spread in close quarters, subways, crowded elevators , packed bars.. I believe in reasonable precaution same as anyone, but when I see people out here in the sticks, riding a mower on their own land in the sunshine 500 yards from another person and wearing a mask I want to scream.. Same thing with people in their own cars or all alone sitting on their own porch. See it every day.. Its not floating around outside waiting to strike, as so many people think...
Stay away from crowds, especially in buildings.... There is a reason it is/was so bad in the cities, and overcrowded burbs[NJ&NY]... Too many people in close proximity.. Here in upstate and in northern Pa, many counties went pretty much unscathed, mostly it was restricted to nursing homes, after they started shipping sick people off to them... bob

Political stripes should have nothing to do with it, but sadly it does. Wear a fkn mask if you can't social distance; not difficult, not infringing on your rights, just asking people to be responsible citizens during a respiratory pandemic.
