Default Solid Spring River Fishing

Despite everything going on, I've had a pretty solid spring so far. Managed to make it down to Orlando and Miami for some Peacock and Clown Knife fishing in late February. Wound up losing all of the peacocks I hooked into, but caught a ton of Clown Knife fish. Pretty crazy fish to fight since they are super aerial and can also swim backwards.

Otherwise have been sticking close to home but have still gotten out to hit the rivers a decent amount. Highlights include a:
  • 22 inch LMB (Definitely the biggest I've caught and would've easily broken 23 if more than half her tail wasn't missing haha)
  • 22 inch brown trout
  • 27 inch pickerel
  • A bunch of 9+ inch sunfish/hybrids
Otherwise it's been more of the usual suspects

I'm looking forward to things getting back to normal so we can get back to the usual floats and trips with the guys. Stay safe everyone and tight lines! Fish pics below...

Bonus trout and perch with really vibrant colors. I've never seen a trout that was that gold before - The picture doesn't really do it justice.

Nice ones Nick! You'll definitely add to the highlight reel this year. Where'd you pull the walleye from? RR?

Is the Big R the new Big D? LOL, it seems (at least on social media) more and more walleye are coming from there. Welp, it's all connected. Were any of these caught on the lures you made?

Multi-Species Mayhem at its finest.

Those clown knife fish are too cool for school. Southern Florida is like fishing in a giant aquarium.

Keep up the good work!
