Default Good bite this morning. Nice bass!

Went out this morning in overcast drizzly conditions. Not sure what to expect with the threat of Tshowers. Some say its good... others say it's bad for the bite. Who knows right??? Anyway... the action was pretty consistent. Bout 7 bass including this beauty at about 20inches. Maybe sub 4lbs? She needs to get her winter belly fat going. Bout 15 or so panfish on the slip bob with gulp 2.5 minnow in about 7 to 10ft. Bonus catfish in 16ft of water on the minnow technique.
Bass landed in the weeds or right on the edge of the weedline using a 1/8th texas using either a green keitech swim impact or a 4inch roboworm.

Nice report, good detail. Never know until putting the line in the water. Good variety and lot of action, take it any day. That bullhead is a pretty decent size and looks like he's been chowing down pretty good. Healthy looking bass and crappie, can't ask for much more. Good trip, great report.

I’ve always found the fishing to be the best just prior to a passing front. I guess the fish sense it coming and put on the feed bag.

Same here. The most memorable days of bass fishing that I've ever had in the summer have all been just ahead of a front. I'm talking fish for hours in an area where you know there are fish, be catching nothing, and then as the front starts to approach you catch fish every other cast over the next hour with fish jumping out of the water body-blocking each other to get to your bait.

When high pressure systems prevail, largemouth bass swim bladders feel that pressure and they become very lethargic. Just the opposite when low pressure systems move in, they become more aggressive. The shallower fish are, the greater impact air pressure changes will have on their feeding habits if they have swim bladders. Exactly why some of your best fishing will be before or when a low front moves in

I didn’t know that about the disparate impact based on the depth of the fish, thank you!
