Thumbs up Trout fishing Saturday

Dad and I decided to hit the river for a little while and do some trout fishing. It was hot as hell outside but standing in the water felt good. It was a savage bite. I started out with the power bait worms and it was game on. As soon as it hit the water the fish were all over it. I limited out in no time at all then proceeded to play catch and release for a while. Dad started out with the mepps spinner and got 3 real quick. Then he switched over to the worms and got his limit plus in no time at all. We kept a few for friends and family then called it a day. Great day on the river. Biggest was about 12in. Beautiful fish.

Excellent report. There's still so much trout to go around! Not too long before it's too hot.

I forgot to add but on our way to one of the spots we fish we passed by 3 park police with about 8 guys standing side by side and the officers picking through there catch. Im guessing no license and taking too many fish bc they had the back of the trucks open with fish sitting out on em. That really gets under my skin. Its not that much money to get a license and keeping a limit is a good amount of fish. No need to keep a million trout.

The way I see it, a good outcome, the officers doing there job and making even more money for f&w than what their licenses would have cost them originally.

Encourages officers to keep up the good work and teach those people a lesson.
