Default Still ripping on the lakers

You didn't think I stopped obsessing over that monster lake trout i lost did you???

Tried jigging on those dark overcast days we had and it was a serious waste of time besides learning the lesson...that it was a waste of time haha. A lesson that i've already learned but keep second guessing. anyway...

got back out there with the sun and it was pretty much game on. the fish were hitting kind of weird and i ended up popping off two nice ones at the boat when i missed the first one handed net scoop on them...would've had them if i had a net man (cough cough, guys that didn't come with me). Even two of the ones i landed were just barely nose hooked and i was getting a lot of lazy nudges.

only fished about 2.5-3 hours after work and hooked 6; 5 to the boat and 3 in the net, only one small one. The suspended fish were more active and they all went for the white swammer going up the elevator.

The fish of the day fought harder than any i've hooked so far (except for the one that wouldn't budge off the bottom and popped me off ). It's mark appeared up high while i was jigging bottom and i brought the swammer up fast past it and it just demolished it and repeatedly dragged me 10-15' down before i could get him to the boat. I thought for sure i had my 31"+ but didn't quite make it Still a great fight and a nice sized fish....one of these days....

Great fish dude! Seems like that over 30 mark is really hard to come by. It’s all good! There’s gotta be one left in one of the Reservoirs! Well maybe, LOL!!!

fought like an old boot...that was currently being worn by a strip club bouncer! idk where they got this reputation, but that fish bent my rod in a U and dragged me 10-15' down ripping drag multiple times before i got him near the surface and then he thrashed and twisted with the violence of a pike or musky and i'm using the same gear i use for hybrids.

Every once in a while you hook one that is just dead weight but the same goes for every species. I hooked a hybrid once that i thought was a bullhead catfish.
