Thumbs up Re: HYBRID MEET & GREET! Nov 2

Looks like we have a few new faces interested in the Hybrid party. This is awesome! I love fishing with new people! Can’t wait to see you guys out there. Saturday can’t come soon enough. Let’s get em’!!!

Gear needed-

Bait casting set ups with line counters are perfect but spinning gear is just as good. Line counters help you get the bait in front of the fishes face a little faster. You can always guesstimate with your spinning set up. No worries. It’s easy.

15 lb. braided line with 10-15 lb. fluorocarbon leader is a safe bet as long as you don’t get into any battles with the fish and an anchor line. Lol! Trust me it happens all the time. An egg sinker, circle hook set up is sufficient when fishing for Hybrids. Circle hooks keep the targeted species from swallowing the hook. We like to avoid harming these fish as much as possible. It’s a crazy fish to catch once you figure them out. You have to watch out though, sometimes you have to hold your rod because they can hit like Panfish at times. Once they realize they’re hooked. Be prepared! Hope this helps out guys. If anyone has any questions feel free to shoot myself of Mikey a PM. LETS DO THIS!!!
TIGHT LINEZ!!!!!

Kudos to Eddie and Mikey for organizing this and sharing their knowledge. Thanks guys.

I’d love to bring my son out and do this but I coach my daughters’s soccer team and we have a game from 10:15-11:15am Saturday. Maybe next year.

Good luck to everyone

Couldn’t make it to the MnG today but am wondering how the fleet made out? Thinking of giving it a shot tomorrow and wondering what to expect?
