Default 5/14 After Work

Hit a local pond after work. Had 2 11" bass on the first 4 casts with a rainbow trout rapala. Then about 5 mins later, I had a 3lber on a 4" blue weightless worm. Found some garlic cheese hotdogs by the trash and tried for channel cats. First cast had a 10" largemouth, next 5 casts, 5 turtles in a row. This pond needs Troy Landry. Each turtle had multiple hooks in their mouths and were obviously quite willing to trade a hook for a piece of hotdog.

Hey Tog Nice FW report. Only a true SW bottom fisherman would find bait, rig it up and use it, and catch something! Did you contact JMurr about your catch?

Have seen people catch some nice cats with those hot dogs there. Saved me $3 and given what I caught on them, I would have been pissed. Still using leftover lures and hooks from 10 plus years ago this spring, so that would have been the first money I spent other than my license and a jar of powerbait. As for saltwater reports, they will probably start next week now that we can keep some fish.
