Lower South Branch
The past two years I have been struggling trying to put a good catch together in this area. I rufuse to give up! Yesterday I only caught two trout all afternoon in different spots I tried. I didn't see much in the low water either. Thank God for the rain we got last night.

Re: Lower South Branch
Lower SB can be tough. It gets hit hard, and there are a lot fewer holes where the trout like to hide. Try taking a walk away from the bridges and finding some less pressured waters.

Re: Lower South Branch
Been fishing south branch raritan for years near flemington area. I have been out maybe 5 times this year only managing a handful of fish each time out! Trout just seem to act different here ever time I'm out. I fish a deep hole far from any parking so I don't think pressure is the problem, however the bites come in waves! Ill get two fish in 5 minutes then go an hour with not a touch then two hits again! It has been like this all year and I don't know why! The only reason I don't explore new holes is because I never have to worry about ppl in my spot and all trout caught an nice 12 inch and fat! If you do put a good catch together post it so I can compare to m results! As for me ill try to start posting fresh water reports
