Paulinskill river
What a diffrence a week makes last weekend at 6am 28degrees in Blairstown. But it was opening day so always exciting. This week today 6am 48degrees in Blairstown. But both Saturdays fishing was good. Power bait Mepps Aglia and butterworms. Managed to get 11 and my son who wouldn't give up on his fly pole finally got one on a prince nymph. We also saw a bear but that is common for Blairstown. So far season has been pretty good

Re: Paulinskill river
The "Kill" usually gets even better as the water level drops. It was a bit high and cold on the opener. The Blairstown stretch is wider and deeper so the more the level drops the safer it is to wade. Was the bear upstream of the footbridge or farther down behind the ball field?

Re: Paulinskill river
The bear was upstream over by the Elementary school dam.
