Default Lake Musconetcong 5/5

OK so I'm a couple of days behind schedule. Went to Lake Musconetcong Sat with the wife. Fished from 10 AM to 6 PM....She wasn't leaving until she got at least one. Well she finally did around 4:30..In the mean time I caught 10 LM and a Pickeral. Most fish in the 1.5 to 2 lb range with a 4 lb fatty coming at about 5PM. I'm glad she made me stay. Turned out to be a really nice day the action starting in the afternoon when it got warm. All fish on a black with blue fleck senko texas rigged with a 1/8th ounce bullet weight. They were on the outside edges of the lily pads furthest from the bank. Some still yet to spawn but the big gal was actually spawned out. Seems like that lake is coming back compared to the last couple years.

Yes, No, and Yes. Last time at Cranberry was a couple years ago though. I like the lake but the ramp is a little bit of a pain. My buddy and I have always had good luck there. Definitely want to get back there. Aeroflex only once a year before that...heart of summer and nothing really doing. Never hit Swartswood but have been wanting to. Any info you have would not go wasted.
Thanks.

I went to Big Swartswood for the first time last fall and was surprised by the size of the lake and electric motors only. Place looks fishy, I think it would be worth a shot.

Swartswood has some monsters in there...place is awesome to fish and its great they only allow electric motors so it doesn't ruin the water...its crystal clear!

OK Ya Got Me Now I'm itchin' to hit Swartswood. I have a 25hp on my boat so I'm used to the electric thing on Spruce Run and RV......I have an extra transom mount trolling motor that I hook up.....Its slow as she goes but it gets the job done.

Maybe a day on the lake would make a great Mothers Day Present for the wife! Not sure if she'll go for it but I'll let you know.

Thanks for the info.

Looking at the New Jersey Fishing Digest and it says Swartwood gets 19,344 walleye. I don't know if walleye are your thing but I'm sure there is other stuff swimming around in that lake.
