Default Passaic Walks

I live really close to the passaic and have walked down there a few times recently. With my fiancee being in healthcare I've tried to avoid any spots where I might see people as she has been exposed and I don't know if we are carriers, not trying to infect anyone accidentally. I recently discovered some teeny tiny pieces of town owned land, basically old riverside half lots they cleared out for 15 or so feet of access for townspeople. I've walked down there 3 times in the past week, and while I had bites and hookups each time, haven't been able to land anything just yet. Despite that, its been nice getting out of the house (i am fortunate enough to be working from home but have the worst cabin fever lol) and exploring water that was right under my nose the whole time.

Hoping to get a trip in on the kayak this weekend for early season bass, we'll see how that goes! Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

Those places are nice and convenient for quick pit stops and when you don’t have a lot of time to play with. Once you figure them out and learn the water you will be amazed what was there the hole time. Go get em Brandon! Stay safe 🇺🇸

Took another one of these walks yesterday afternoon and hooked into something big. Ripped lots of line and drag, but as he got closer to shore he dove into a snag and got the hook out and me stuck. Just gotta keep trying, especially now that places to fish are limited with parks closing.

After visiting this spot on walks 15 times or so, I finally had some luck, and great luck at that! My new PB yellow perch. Perseverance pays off!

Congrats on the PB. I enjoy fishing the Passaic from my kayak, in most of the areas I fish I feel like I am in some remote location. I regularly see bald eagles, mink, etc.
