Default Finally got around to an intro.

Better late than never, I joined a couple of years ago but never introduced myself since my joining was to touch base with Scott (Scoward) who grew up with my two younger sons. I've been fishing fresh water for a long time and live in North Jersey. Rich196 reminds me of a younger version of myself (less his big bass)LOL, my better half is my fishing partner also. We probably fish about 200 days a year and back in 2011 or 12, when we had a warm winter we got to fish open water in our boat for all 12 months of the year catching bass every month. Back in the late 60's and 70's I fished lake Inez (now empty), Wanaque Res. from a boat, Rotten Pond from a boat before the State opened it up to the public and other unique places that are now only a memory, times change. I guess that I'm a little envious but very much enjoy the small stream and off the beaten path trout exploits of some members. Maybe our paths may cross this year on the Sheds, Monksville, Pompton L, Shepards, etc.
Added a couple 11/17 pictures and some old lures from the 40's - 60's.

Geeze, now I feel old! I still have most of those plugs!! One thing I don't see in your box though, a 'Du-Dad'. Made by Crème, the Du-Dad was the pre-cursor to the Arbogast Jitterbug. in the '60's my Father and I used to fish Colliers Mills on summer Sat nights, surface plugging for bass. He only had 2 Du-Dads left in his box and he wouldn't share since they were out of production and no longer available anywhere, so I was relegated to using my lowly Jitterbugs. He would out fish me 2 to 1 every time! In a bit later years when he had more confidence in my abilities to not lose a plug to obstacles I was allowed to use a Du-Dad and we tried numerous times to compare results. Every time the Du-Dad would out fish the jitterbug, no matter which of us used what! Man I would love to find just one of those plugs today, just to have one in memory of my Father!

Update! Just found one one Ebay! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-6-Vi...QAAOSwT-9aiiSS

I never realized that Creme made hard baits too. Did you ever think of making a replica? Get yourself a body or some basswood, a big weedless hook, a jitterbug type blade, put it together, add a finish and see if it catches any at Colliers Mills and re-live the experience. I'm always fixing and making hard baits, spinnerbait variations and tying hair jigs and it's always more fun to catch fish on them than some store bought lure.
The 1st picture are spinners that my father used back in the day and the second is a BT that I caught in Ct. in November on an 1/8oz. hair jig I tied. It was released as are all my fish.

Haha, wow! Haven't seen you in well over 20 years. Very cool running into you here on NJF! Surprised we haven't crossed paths on Monks yet. Looking forward to running into you. Once ice is out, the Mugger (14' SeaNymph) will be all over our local lakes. I'll keep in touch!
