Default Raritan after dusk

Hey folks. First post. Been lurking here for a little while now, usually on posts about the big R. I recognize some familiar names via their YouTube videos or facebook groups. Looking forward to sharing some nice catch photos but thought I would make my first post a question...

Is there any point in fishing the lower Raritan after dusk (meaning downstream of the weir)? I realize the towpath side is technically closed at that time because it is a state park, but I don’t exactly plan to sneak out to the trout stream once my kids are in bed at this time of year. Wasn’t sure if bass, or anything else bite that late in the evening.

Thanks!

Thumbs up Re: Raritan after dusk

Use the search feature on here and type in Raritan river, you will see the resident vampire aka Jigman doing well fishing in the darkness. I myself enjoy the daylight on the river. The whole thing about that river is basically knowing when to zig and when to zag.

Like bigfishy said, if you're fishing on the Raritan after dusk and just doing your thing, you wont be bothered.
